the face behind the brand

Hello all! My name is Lizzy, I pray all is well with you and if not I pray you innerstand this is simply an obstacle on your path to betterment. I would like to first thank you for being here, if you have experienced my recipes this may mean you are vegan/plant-based or on a conscious diet pathway, and for that, I am proud of you!

What made you go vegan?

I think people expect me to say "the animals" and this in fact would be a lie. As a country girl, I could still get down with blackeye peas, greens with turkey necks, fried chicken, and my grandma's homemade skillet cornbread....and I do, just vegan now. My grandma actually catapulted me into my cooking journey, I used to watch her cut onions, beets, tomatoes, and so on in her hand and wonder how she never got cut. She taught me the importance of aligning different seasonings with your food and the value of fresh herbs. My grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer, she fought extremely hard and through this, she slowly transitioned to a partial alkaline diet. She woke up in the morning and ate tomatoes and onions, she used aloe vera for wounds and prayer for turmoil. She was a healing lady, she taught me to heal and through that, I learned to heal my body through my mouth. In the past, I struggled with acid reflux, eczema, TIA's, depression, anxiety and so much more. I learned I was an emotional eater and decided to change my diet to change my mindset, I'll admit I did it backwards but the result was aligned. Through all the lessons that life, my grandma and myself have taught me, the biggest takeaway would be "what you ingest is what you egest". Repeating this quote has allowed me to fight urges against a staple western diet, and if I never went vegan you guys would never know what my food tastes like!

Thank you again for being here and if you need anything do not hesitate to reach out via email.
